Srinagar, Nov 08 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former MLA Bandipora has expressed serious concern over the perpetual degradation and shrinking of Wullar Lake.
In a statement issued to KNS, Bhat said that water level of the lake has gone down to a high time low. The lake is virtually presenting a look of a garbage- carrier water body. Lamenting the loss of the world famous Wullar, Bhat said the 360 crore project for its conservation has been wasted by criminal negligence of Forest department and through diversion of funds from actual developmental component to engagement of super long manpower.
Bhat said that while degradation of lake is serious damage to environment and geographical identity of Kashmir it has also rendered thousands of families virtually without an earning.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
