Anantnag, Jan 27 (KNS): General Secretary in-charge Communications, Indian National Congress, Jairam Ramesh on Friday said the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra is literally Lok Tantra versus Ek Tantra to bring out the country from the clutches of nation destroyers.
Addressing a press conference at Dak Bungalow, Khanabal, in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, the senior Congress leader as per KNS said the country as of now is going through tumultuous phase and a single entity is trying to overpower every institution of the country.
He said political issues pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir won’t be touched during Bharat Jodo Yatra as they will be talked of at some other occasion. He however said that BJY aims to unite the countrymen from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to save India from the clutches of destroyers.
He said a single person who is at helm takes decision against his own people and wants to overpower every single institution of the country. “Bharat Jodo Yatra is Lok Tantra (democracy) versus Ek Tantra (dictatorship)”, Jairam Ramesh added.
“Our democracy is at risk. Employment and inflation have touched new heights. A single person is running affairs of the country like a dictator. Literally there is political dictatorship in the country. Law and constitution are being bypassed completely. So BJY is aimed to bring the nation out from the clutches of this uncertain atmosphere and lawlessness. BJY is simply Lok Tantra versus Ek Tantra”, he said.
Earlier Congress leader and Member Parliament Rahul Gandhi alleged that they had to suspended the Bharat Jodo Yatra as police arrangements completely collapsed and his security people got uncomfortable to continue the Yatra. (KNS)
