Bhaderwah, Mar 16 (KNS): The residents of Bhaderwah Wednesday held a torch rally against the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department for “failing” to provide ration in government depots since last six months.
Reports said that the torch rally was started from Pasri bus stand to main market and soon after the protesters reached to Seri Bazaar, the protesters staged sit-in and were demanding to open the ration depot.
The protestors said from last six months CAPD department has “failed” to provide Ration, Atta, Sugar to them thereby leaving the consumers to lurch at large.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The protesters alleged that they are being harassed by the officials on the name of verification and Aadhaar Cards.
They said the quality of ration products supplied by the CAPD Department is very poor and a big lobby of ration dealers also indulged in black-marketing of ration items and CAPD was in not giving due attention to this menace.
The protesters later dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
