Srinagar, June 22 (KNS): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V K Bidhuri Thursday said that administration has put in place better arrangements for Amarnath Yatra this year.
He said the administration is committed to provide better and hassle-free services to Amarnath devotees so that they do not feel any sort of inconvenience during the Yatra.
"There are better facilities in place. The track leading to the cave has been widened. Reeling at many places have been done. Light arrangements have been improved. The security agencies have installed good number of CCTV there," Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V K Bidhuri as per KNS told reporters at Pratap Park Srinagar.
Lauding the support of civil society and others, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir said "Unlike past we got huge support and cooperation from civil this year. People from all walks of life came forward and extended their support," Div Com Kashmir said.
He added the Yatra should be seen beyond economic and religious activity as it has age old connection with local tradition. (KNS)
