Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNS): The best way to pay homage to innocent Shaheed Zahid Rasool Butt and other martyrs like him is to remain away from India and its stooges and refrain from participating in their two-faced politics, said JKLF leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal in a statement issued here today.
“The politicians who are shamelessly posing for getting photographed with the casket carrying the body of our innocent martyr are directly responsible for his murder and their hypocrisy is only rubbing salt on the wounds of Kashmiris,” Kalwal said while addressing the condolence meeting held on the occasion of funeral prayers of martyr Zahid Rasool Butt who embraced martyrdom after being attacked by Hindu chauvinists at Udhmapor recently. On the directions of JKLF incarcerated chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik who along with JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi has been placed under house arrest, JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal along with zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, district president Muhammad Ishaaq Ganaie and local activists Shabir Ahmad Boitengoo reached Islamabad late last night and stayed at the residence of martyr Zahid Rasool. They visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them. Today morning Noor sahib and others participated in funeral prayers and condolence meeting held at highway joining Srinagar with Islamabad. While speaking on the occasion, JKLF leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal paid rich tributes to innocent martyr Zahid Rasool and said that the best way to pay homage to these martyrs is to keep away from India and its stooges who always betray us with their hypocritical politics. Noor sahib said that we should remember their oppression and stay away from their meetings and rallies and also refrain from voting for them. Noor sahib said that actually the lust of power of so-called rulers who shamelessly are today posing with the corpse of our martyrs, is responsible for these murders as it is the same stooges who have sold their faith and religion for attaining power that too at the hands of RSS like chauvinists. While condemning the attacks on Indian Muslims by Hindu fanatics,Noor sahib said that though Kashmiris are facing Indian oppression themselves but we cannot remain silent at what is being done with Muslims in India. He said that by today’s exemplary protest strike which JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and other resistance leaders had appealed for, Kashmiris have raised their voices against these murders .on the occasion a grand rally was also held in which participants raised slogans in favor of freedom, martyrs and resistance. People also raised slogans against Indian and deceitful politics of its Kashmiris stooges and terrorism unleashed by Hindu terrorists
It is worth to mention that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was placed under house arrest last night but a delegation led by senior leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal managed to reach Islamabad and participated in the funeral prayers and burial of innocent martyr Zahid Rasool Butt. While condemning the house arrests, restrictions, curfew and other oppressive measures by so-called rulers, JKLF spokesman said that these repressive measures will not succeed in breaking the will of people of Kashmir.
