Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNS): The inhabitants of Firdous colony and boatmen colony Bemina held a protest against the Power Development department (PDD) for increasing a huge amount in their monthly electricity charge.
Accusing the PDD department for ignoring their plights, the residents of Firdous colony and Boatmen colony here have demanded redressal of their grievances.
While talking to KNS, the protesting residents said that the PDD officials are trying to make their survival difficult by increasing their monthly electric tariff.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We belong to a poor family and how is it possible for us to provide more than rupees 400 per month to the department in the shape of electric tariff,” they said.
They said that government should at least look into their sufferings and if they feel that they can manage to provide huge amount every month then they will happily agree with the same.
They later urged higher ups to look into the matter and redress their grievance as soon as possible. (KNS)
