Srinagar, May 10 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said security forces have given a “befitting response” to the Pahalgam terror attack and systematically dismantled the terror ecosystem in the region.
Addressing the attestation-cum-passing out parade at the Armed Police Complex in Zewan, LG Sinha as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) lauded the synergy between the J&K Police, intelligence agencies and the CRPF, stating that it has led to major successes in counter-terrorism operations over the last five years.
“This is a clear warning to those who consider themselves above the law. No terrorist, no criminal, no drug trafficker, no anti-national element will be spared,” the Lt Governor said.
Citing operations such as ‘Operation Mahadev’ and the swift response to the Pahalgam attack, Sinha said the security forces will spare no terrorist, cybercriminal or narco-terrorist.

The Lt Governor described the J&K Police as a “symbol of people’s trust and sacrifice”, adding that its professionalism is recognised across the country. He also cautioned that the nature of crime has evolved, pointing to emerging challenges like cybercrime, cyber warfare, narco-terrorism and narrative warfare.
“Future-ready policing requires courage, impartiality, honesty and commitment,” he told the new recruits.
Welcoming the newly inducted constables, LG Sinha emphasised that the entire recruitment process was conducted in a “transparent, fair and merit-based manner”. (KNS)
