Srinagar, Sep 12 (KNS): Wildlife authorities on Monday caught a Bear and Cab alive in Rajbagh area of central kashmir's Srinagar city.
An official said that an eminent threat to life and property at Jawaharnagar, Rajbagh and Lal Mandi areas of Srinagar successfully averted at 2:00 midnight by the dedicated team of the Wildlife Department by capturing mother bear with Cub live.
"Operation though challenging clean and complete and the area is declared safe for the public," he said
Deputy commissioner Srinagar Aijaz Asad said that after 21 hours non stop operation, Black Bear spotted yesterday in Rajbagh area has been tranquillised.
"Great job by the Team led by Wildlife Department.Area has been scanned and sanitized. All Educational institutions in the area shall open normally as per daily routine," he said.(KNS)
