Baramulla, Oct 16 (KNS): Beacon Hqr 53 RCC has organised badminton tournament with an aim to encourage youth in sports activities, officials said on Sunday.
The officials said eight teams participated in the tournament which belong from Verinag, Srinagar, Lowermunda, Baramulla and Uri.
Active participation was sought and all the participants were awarded by CE Project Beacon to inculcate spirit of sportsmanship and comrade in youth.
The teams of HQ 53RCC emerged as winners and award ceremony was concluded by CE Project Beacon.
Notably senior journalist Nadeem Khawaja Uri covered all matches of the tournament.(KNS)
