Handwara February 10:(KNS)  Today a public Darbar was held at Environment Hall, Handwara in which all the public representatives of Handwara Sub Division participated.The recently posted DDC, Kupwara Mr. Imam Din alongwith all the Officers of the Sub Division heard the grievances of the public.

Mr. Showkat H Pandith, Chairman, BDC, Langate highlighted the issues of Langate block in which he stressed for proper water supply schemes for villages Yaroo, Guloora, Kultoora, Haripora & Wahipora. The problems related to Horticulture and agriculture have been also discussed.

Upgradation of infrastructure for NTPHC Younisoo and commissioning of 6.3 MVA "Receiving Station" at Puhrupeth was also brought into the notice of DDC Kupwara. 

Also, the Chairman urged for construction of a Mini Secretariate for Langate area so that all the Sectoral Officers operate from a single place which would make the administration more efficient.

Later on the Chairman handed over a memorandum  viz a viz the issues raised to DDC Kupwara who assured that the issues will be looked into on priority by the concerned departments.(KNS)
