Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNS): Senior Peoples Conference leader and former minister Syed Basharat Bukhari on Tuesday visited the family of senior journalist Shahid Bukhari to express solidarity with them at this hour of immense loss and grief.

PC spokesman in a statement to KNS said that Syed Basharat Bukhari highlighted the immense contributions of the deceased journalist in his field and remembered how highlighting peoples’ issues and seeking their urgent resolution was always the priority for him.

Bukhari added that the untimely demise of the veteran journalist has created a void that will be very difficult to fill in by any of his contemporaries. 

He said that Shahid’s father was his colleague at Radio Kashmir, Srinagar and that he remembers the time when Shahid as a young chap would accompany his father to Radio Kashmir quite often. 

Commiserating with the bereaved family members, Bukhari has prayed for peace to the departed soul and his highest place in Jannah. (KNS)
