Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS): Vice-president and media head of Jammu & Kashmir People’s Conference, Syed Basharat Bukhari on Saturday appealed to the Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to fulfil the promise for constructing tunnel at Sadna Top to connect border villages of Karnah and Tanghdar.
According to a statement keeping with the prior promise of full-fledged support for the struggle of the people of Karnah and Tangdhar for construction of Tunnel at Sadhna Top appealed to the Union Minister to execute the promise made by him in 2018.
He said that more than 200 people have lost their lives in the past 6 years due to avalanche prone roads in the area.
He also said that safety of public is the duty of the government and people’s right too. (KNS)
