Baramulla, Apr 25 (KNS): Traders Federation Baramulla Monday held a protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) for its failure to provide electricity on a regular basis in the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that traders federation Baramulla blocked the road at main chowk, alleging PDD of depriving them of regular power supply.

They urged the administration to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people especially during Sehri and Iftaar hours.

"Unscheduled power cuts are causing a lot of hardships to the people in this Holy month of Ramadan. We have never seen such worst and frequent cuts especially during Sehri and Iftaar times,” said Tariq Ahmad secretary Baramulla Traders Federation.

He said that they will launch a massive agitation if power supply is not improved in the district. (KNS)
