Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS): Disappointed with the government failure, the residents of Shiapora, Qazipora and Delina areas of Baramulla district on Thursday started a snow clearance work on roads on their own, saying that the “ignorance of the government over clearing the snow has compelled them to carry out the process on their own.”
According to KNS correspondent Taseer Afzal, the residents said that the authorities have failed to clear the accumulated snow in the interior roads of these areas thereby forcing the residents to clear snow the snow on their own.
While talking to KNS, inhabitants of Shiapora and Qazipora, said that they approached the control room and the officials of Roads and Building (R&B) department in this regard but unfortunately all in vain as nobody bothered to redress their grievances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Despite making the fake promises, the authorities failed to clear the snow on the roads,” they said.
“We (inhabitants) and our plights have been ignored by the government. The government should have taken the necessary measures n this regard for the well being of the people who voted them during the elections,” the aggrieved residents lamented. (KNS)
