Baramulla Police arrests two persons along with 1kg of heroine Nadeem Khawaja Uri

Jammu, Dec 09 (KNS): Police during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday arrested two persons along with 1 Kg of heroine in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In its continuous efforts of eradicating drug menace from society, Uri Police Station recovered Narcotic substances during night checking.
“A Naka was established by Uri Police in Gingal by Police Station Uri during which two persons were apprehended from a vehicle when the driver tried to flee”, police said.
It added during investigation he deposed that his name is Jehangir Ahmad Khan @ Pappu s/o Mohammad Hussain Khan r/o Mohura and driver namely Mohammad Haneif Qureshi s/o Mohammad Azam r/o Paranpilla. The vehicle vide no. JK05J-3359 (make Kwid Renault) was also seized at the occasion.
“During search of vehicle a packet containing Heroine like substance about 1 Kg was recovered”, police said.
In this regard Case FIR NO. 172/20 us 8/ 21 & 29 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Uri. Accused persons were arrested and further investigations started. (KNS)
