Baramulla, Mar 17 (KNS): Amid concerns over the smooth supply of essential commodities, the District Administration Baramulla has issued a strict directive to all Tehsildars and SHOs to personally supervise the distribution of LPG cylinders and take action against those involved in black marketing.
A senior official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that revenue and police officials have been instructed to coordinate with authorized LPG dealers to ensure the distribution roster is followed without deviation.
"A strict vigil must be maintained to prevent any instances of black marketing, profiteering, hoarding, or diversion of LPG cylinders," the official said.
The administration has expressed concern that any disruption in the supply of cooking gas could lead to law and order issues.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has warned that any laxity or dereliction of duty in ensuring the transparent and regulated supply of cylinders to genuine consumers will be viewed seriously.
Authorities have asked officials to report any malpractices observed in the field to the DC office immediately for prompt action, the official further added. (KNS)
