Bandipora RR organises medical camp at Panar Bandipora

Bandipora, June 19 (KNS): In a follow up of Army's endeavor to reach out to people from far flung remote areas of Bandipora dist and provide basic medical care and advise to the most underprivileged strata of the society, Bandipora RR under the aegis of Watlab Sector conducted a Med Camp in Panar on 19 Jun 2021.

In a statement Issued to Kashmir Nerws Service, a spokesperson said that one Doctor from Army as well as three Male Doctors and two Pharmacist from Dist Hospital Bandipora worked shoulder to shoulder for the benefit of needy civil populace. “One Lady doctor included  among three doctors was also incorporated for treating women at the med camp.”

It reads that in addition to basic health check up and providing of required medicine those in need of specialist care were referred for the requisite treatment.

“A total 353 no of patients (Female 101, Male 174 & Children -73 were treated at the camp. Awareness program was also conducted on the sidelines of the medical camp to educate local populace about prevalent pandemic of COVID-19 and its prevention.”

It said that they were also explained about benefits of vaccination and were urged to get everyone vaccinated as early as possible Locals were also educated about importance of hygiene and sanitation and its role in prevention of various diseases.

“The Awam expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Army for this noble initiative,” reads the statement.(KNS)
