Bandipora, Sep 27 (KNS): Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora here on Thursday celebrated its annual day by organizing a grand function in the school premises. DC Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary was Chief guest on the occasion while as Chief Education Officer Bandipora Javid Munshi was guest of honour. Chemistry Lecturer of Institution Ishtiyaq Hussain Samoon Presided over the function. Samoon highlighted the role of students in the preservation of cultural ethos of Kashmir.
Principal of Govt Girls Higher Secondary school Bandipora Mohammad Rafiq Parray in his welcome address read out the annual report of the institution. He highlighted various achievements made by the institution in different areas and also the unprecedented leaps the institution has made to achieve success in all fields.
While speaking on the occasion DC Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary presented an informative lecture and shared some good messages among the students. He said that Bandipora has been historically on the forefront in educational pursuits and produced personalities with leadership qualities in all walks of life.

On the Occasion, He announced 50 I-Pads and upgradation of school liberay with modern facilities besides renovation of class rooms. He also released annual school prospectus and appreciated teachers for their efforts in providing quality education to the student.
On the occasion, a variety of cultural programmes were presented by the students depicting various social and educational issues. Besides DC Bandipora, CEO Bandipora Javid Munshi, Tehsildar Bandipora, Principal Govt Girls Higher Secondary school Bandipora Mohammad Rafiq Parray and other dignitaries were also present who presented their lectures among students and wished them good luck in future. Apart from students, a galaxy of intellectuals, educationists and eminent personalities attended the function
