Baldev Singh Raina greets people of holy occasion

 Srinagar, Apr 13 (KNS): The people of Srinagar celebrated Baisakhi festival with great zeal and enthusiasm as several religious program were organised in collaboration with Ragi Pracharakhs along with the entire Sikh Sangat as well as various Sikh organisations of Srinagar.

 
While delivering the sermon over Baisahki festival to Sikh Sangat, S. Baldev Singh Raina the Chairman of Peaks Group of Companies and United Kashmiri Sikh Progressive Forum (UKSPF) said that on this day in year 1699, the 10th Sikh Guru ,Guru Govind Singh Ji, laid down the foundation of the Panth Khalsa or the Sikh Panth. 
 
He also congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir on this holy day and stated that the festival provides an opportunity to the people of different communities to come closer to each other while exchanging pleasantries. 
 
He also prayed for peace and prosperity of the people of the Union Territory and wished that New Year would be free from all worries and ailments with good health, hygiene, happiness and development of all the people of J&K. (KNS)
