Bad road connectivity irks Budgam residents

Srinagar, Sep 02 (KNS): Residents of Banjarwani and Lolipora have staged a protest on Wednesday against, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, (PMGSY) against the bad connectivity of the roads in the area.
According to KNStThe locals have expressed their anger by staging a protest against PMGSY and have urged the local administration to pay attention to their cries.
A local has communicated to Kashmir News Service,(KNS) that work on the said road have been started back in 2017, but still the it has not been pushed to end.
He also said, that distance of mere 9Km is taking more than 3 years to get completed. The PMGSY is playing with the poor lives of our area, he added. We are requesting authority to look into the matter and wishing acceleration in the work.While contacting Exon, PMGSY, Basit Ah, he told to KNS over phone that three and half Km have been macadamized, the rest of the distance will be completed too in coming days. He also said that due prevailing situation, the work has been little delayed, because it was difficult to arrange the material, however we working on it and will be completed soon, he added (KNS)
