Srinagar, Feb 26 (KNS): Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha & Former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir has expressed deep shock and grief on the sudden demise of a bright and young KAS Officer Kalyan Singh and his other family members in a road accident at Khelani near Doda.
Condoling the extremely distressing and tragic passing away of Kalyan Singh and his other family members, Azad said “I share the grief and pain of the family and stand in solidarity with them in this critical hour”.
Azad further said that Kalyan Singh was a capable and dynamic officer and that his death in a road accident has caused grave loss to the State.

Considering the views and seriousness shown by Governor J&K on the issue of loss of lives in road accidents in J&K, Azad urged him to activate and strengthen the Road Safety Council that has come into being on the initiative and instance of Governor J&K.
Azad also drew attention of Governor J&K to his earlier communications expressing concern on the increased occurrence of road accidents and sought his immediate intervention to prevent further loss of life.
Azad prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss. (KNS)
