Srinagar, Jul 20 (KNS): Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha and Senior Congress leader Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, has expressed deep shock and grief over the passing away of veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit.

In his condolence message Ghulam Nabi Azad said that he is deeply saddened to hear about the sad news of her death. He recalled his long association with Sheila Dikshit, since the period of Late Indira Gandhi and especially Late Rajiv Gandhi, when she was MoS in PMO and General Secretary AICC, he had the occasion to work very closely with her and also shared a great personal equation with her.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“She was stalwart of the party, who served Party and people in different capacities with great devotion and commitment. Her contributions as Chief Minister of Delhi for three terms will be remembered for times to come in view of the tremendous development brought by her,” Azad said.

He said her death has caused a great void in the society and in the party, which is difficult to fill-in near future.

Azad conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul. (KNS)
