Srinagar, Feb 03 (KNS): Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed sorrow and grief on the passing away of Former Speaker & veteran leader Balram Jakhar.
Recalling his exemplary services, Azad said that Balram Jakhar was a seasoned and popular political figure, who made enriching contributions to the democratic system during his long career.

Azad further said that Jakhar was deeply committed to the cause of rural prosperity and development of agriculture, with special focus on the issues concerning farmers.
Applauding the noteworthy contributions made by Balram Jakhar, Azad said that nation will remember him for a long time to come.
