Doda, Sep 19 (KNS): As a part of drive against drugs, started by Doda police today DYSP Hqrs Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and Baljeet Singh Counselor for drug de-addiction appointed by the Police Hqrs. J&K started awareness programme on drug Abuse and delivered a lecture on the topic “DRUG ABUSE” in Faridya Model high sec. School Doda in which large number of students of Schools and staff of the institution participated. Dy SP Hqrs Doda Sh Iftkhar Ahmed in his lecture stated that drug free society is one of the objectives outlined by DGP J&K for the year 2017. In furtherance to the said objective District Police Doda under the command of SSP DODA Mohammad Shabir is putting all its efforts to make a drugs free Doda District . Principal Faridya Model High School Doda appreciated the role of Police for organizing such activities. This will also help in bettering the relations between Police and Public. Sh. Baljeet singh counselor drug addiction also spoke on the occasion and shed light on evil affects of Drug addiction.
Staff /student as well as youth and locals of the area appreciated the role of J&K Police in organizing such lectures in the educational institutions which will go a long way to protect the society especially youth from the evils of drug addiction. (KNS)
