Srinagar, Oct 06 (KNS): As a part of drive against drugs abuse, today on 6th of Oct.-2017 DySP Hqrs Doda Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed KPS and Baljeet Singh Counselor for drug de-addiction appointed by the Police Hqrs. J&K started awareness programme on drug Abuse and delivered a lecture on the topic “Drug Abuse” at Shaheen Public Hr. Sec. School Doda in which 500-550 students of School and staff of the institution participated. DySP Hqrs Doda Iftkhar Ahmed in his lecture stated that drug free society is one of the objectives outlined by DGP J&K for the year 2017.
In furtherance to the said objective District Police Doda under the command of SSP DODA Mohammad Shabir is putting all its efforts to make a drugs free Doda District. He exhorted upon the youth community to shun the path of drug menace and put their best efforts in doing good things for the society.
Staff and students of Shaheen Public Hr. Secondary School Doda as well as youth and locals of the area appreciated the role of J&K Police in organizing such lectures in the educational institutions which will go a long way to protect the society especially youth from the evils of drug addiction.
This will also help in bettering the relations between Police and Public. Baljeet Singh counselor drug addiction also spoke on the occasion and shed light on evil affects of Drug addiction. (KNS)
