Awantipora Police Fines 58 Person For Not Wearing face mask

Awantipora 20 April (KNS) : In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and to bring awareness among general masses of Police District Awantipora.

 Awantipora Police fined 58 person on Tuesday for not wearing face mask and made announcements in sub Division Tral, Pampore and Awantipora urging people to ensure implementations of COVID-19 SOPs.

 The announcement was made also to focus on wearing of masks and not to gather and ensure maintenance of social distancing at work places as wel as religious places which is the only way to get rid from this pandemic spread. 

Awantipora police also requested the Awqaf committee members/Sikh prabandh Committee members, traders, shopkeepers and transporters to follow the SOPs issued related to Covid-19 by the UT Government of J & K from time to time strictly. 

Moreover, 58 persons found without wearing masks in different areas of Police District Awantipora were charged a fine of Rs.20,200/= on account of violating the government order. 

People of Awantipora, Tral, Pampore and khrew are requested to co–operate with law enforcing agencies otherwise strict action will be taken against the violaters/persons defying the government orders related to Covid-19 SOPs.(KNS)
