Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): Authorities will impose strict restrictions in Srinagar on Friday ahead of the joint protest programme announced by Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone told KNS that the administration has decided to impose strict restrictions in city areas falling under police stations in Maisuma, Safakadal, MR Gunj, Nowhatta, Rainawari, Khanyar and Kralkhud.
Mirwaiz had invited veteran resistance leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Jammu Kashmir High Court Bar Association President, Mian Muhammad Qayoom, civil society activists and other resistance leaders to participate personally in the sit-in programme and unitedly demonstrate against the atrocities committed against Kashmiris.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Mirwaiz said a peaceful sit-in at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar against the killing of Zahid Rasool, continuous crackdown on Kashmir’s resistance leadership and common masses, state-sponsored terrorism, attacks of Kashmiri Muslims by divisive and fanatics, arrests of youth, attacks on minorities in India, violations of political, religious and human rights after Friday congregational prayers.
