Sopore May 20 (KNS): Authorities on Thursday allegedly locked a family inside their house after three of its members tested Covid-19 positive in Seelu Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.

The three family members of Mohmmad Amin Ahanger in seelu sopore were tested positive after which the duty magistrate locked their main gate-only entry and exit to their house.

Speaking to Kashmir news service (KNS) over the phone, Ahanger said their family consists of 7 members out of which 3 are positive. How can the administration lock us inside the house? they questioned.

"Other than positive persons of my family, my Father is a cardiac Patient, Mother is suffering from diabetes, sister is Psychiatric patient, what will we do if there is an emergency, Mohmmad Saleem Ahanger told KNS.

"We have not cooked anything since morning, can't arrange medicines for even positive patients. Our lives are at risk," he added.

When KNS Contacted ADC Sopore regarding the allegations of the family, he said, "I have no information regarding this. I will ensure that family won't suffer further."(KNS)
