Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): Authorities on Thursday suspended an employee of Municipal Committee Handwara after he emptied waste water from sucker van in a Nallah.
This was captured in a video which surfaced on social media, questioning the role of municipal committee Handwara in waste disposal.
According to an order a copy of which lies with KNS reads: Whereas, Ab Hamid Mochi Sucker Driver was deputed to Zachildara fordewatering of accumulated water of bathrooms of Jamia Masjid sharieef Zachildar
Whereas, After completion of dewatering a Masjid Committee has provide a piece of land for disposal-off waste water of Masjid bathrooms"
The order further reads: Whereas, a video has been circulated on social media wherein it has been shown that the place provided by the masjid committee is adjacent to the water body."
Till pending enquiry into the matter Shri Ab Hamid Mochi Sucker Driver in hereby placed under suspension for negligence in his duty, order also said.(KNS)
