Apprehending any untoward incident on August 15, authorities late Thursday decided to impose restrictions in seven police stations of downtown Srinagar including the police station of Maisuma.
“To maintain law and order, peace and tranquillity in the Srinagar city, restrictions will be imposed ahead of August 15 tomorrow on the movement of public and transport in the jurisdiction of police stations Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal and Maharaj Gunj, Maisuma,Kralkud” a top government official wished anonymity told KNS.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that the decision was taken during the high level meeting between the civil administration and top officials of the Police.
When contacted Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone confirmed to KNS that to maintain law and order the restrictions will be imposed tomorrow in seven police stations.KNS
