Authorities declare Masjid Noor, Amlok Colony and Sultandaki in Uri 'red zone' areas

Srinagar April 03 (KNS): After two suspected patients from Uri town of northKashmir’s Baramulla district tested positive, authorities on Friday declared Masjid Noor, Amlok Colony and Sultandaki as red zone areas and directed people to keep confined themselves into their homes.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Sub-Divisional Magistrate Uri Reyaz Ahmad on the directions of DC Baramulla Dr G N Itoo sealed off Masjid Noor, Amlok Colony and Sultandaki areas in Uri and declared it red zone after two suspected patients tested positive.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

At the occasion they directed residents of the area to stay away from public gatherings and take utmost precautions advised by administration of J&K Union Territory.

They also appealed those who took part in religious congregation held in Masjid Noor on March 19 to report voluntarily to screening centres and get themselves screened. They warned and said those who try to skip the screening process despite repeated calls will be dealt as per law. (KNS)
