Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): Australian athlete Pat Farmer, who is running to create awareness for girl education, on Tuesday completed his 60 days ‘Spirit of India run' in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city.
Farmer said he wants the world to see all that India has to offer. “Its culture, tourism, heritage etc are amazing. I want the world to see all this,” he said.
“My aim to run here is to promote tourism in Kashmir and most importantly to collect funds for girl child education.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelI came here to create inform the world that how amazing Kashmir is,” Farmer said.
Director Tourism, Mahmood Ahmed Shah, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone received Farmer when he entered into Kashmir valley.
Pat has been running 70-80 kilometers every day for straight 56 days. Pat will conclude his trip which he started on 26th January from Kanyakumari during which he travelled some 5000 kilometers already. (KNS)
