Srinagar, Nov 15 (KNS): The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday posted Atul Kumar Goel, who was DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba ranges, as DIG Criminal Investigation Department against an available vacancy.

As per an order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), Atul Kumar Goel, DIG, Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) Range is transferred and posted as DIG, CID, against an available vacancy, while Vivek Gupta, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, shall hold the additional charge of the post of DIG JKS Range, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

The order stated that Shiv Kumar Sharma, JKPS, SO to DIG, JKS Range is transferred and posted as SSP, CID, CI, against an available vacancy and Ashok Badwal, SO to ADGP, Jammu Zone, shall hold the additional charge of the post of SO to DIG, JKS Range, till further orders.

It was further ordered that Atul Kumar Goel and Shiv Kumar Sharma shall be deemed to be the officers of the newly created State Investigation Agency (SIA) as well.

“They are entitled to the facilities and allowances as are admissible to the other officers of the SIA,” the order states. (KNS)
