Officials say one masked burglar arrested immediately, identity of another one ascertained

Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): An ATM guard of Jammu and Kashmir bank was injured after he was attacked by masked men, who tried to loot the ATM in Nasrulllah Pora area of Budgam on late Thursday evening.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that some masked men broke into an ATM located at Nasrullah Pora and also attacked the ATM guard deployed there.

He said that when the guard tried to resist them, they attacked him and injured him badly, while in the meantime they tried to fled from the spot, however, one of them was immediately arrested. 

The official said that following the incident, the injured guard was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.  

Meanwhile, a senior police official told KNS that masked burglars attempted to loot JK Bank ATM at Nasrullah Pora and damaged ATM, while security guard received minor injuries.

He said that one of the suspected burglars was arrested immediately and identity of the second burglar was also ascertained. 

The official said that both burglars appear to be drug addicts. (KNS)
