Aspire Preschool organises baking workshop at IHM Rajbagh

Srinagar, Aug 21 (KNS): Aspire Preschool on Saturday organised a one-day baking workshop at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) in Rajbagh area of Srinagar to promote healthy eating.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the main purpose of organizing this workshop was to encourage children to choose a healthy lifestyle.

“The workshop was successfully conducted by masterchef from Mumbai. While taking care of proper COVID-19 protocol, the workshop was organised in two slots. The event was attended by 50 people, 25 in each slot,” the statement reads.

It reads that Covid-19 has resulted in schools shut, all across the world, which has had an adverse impact on the mental health of children. “It has impacted pre-primary children the most. Participants appealed the government to reopen the pre-primary classes at the earliest. There are many cases of speech delay and other problems being reported by parents, as a result of no social interaction and excessive screen time.”

The statement reads that keeping in view the significant demand from parents, Aspire is planning to organize different programs in near future, such as calligraphy, martial arts, handwriting improvement and other sports by facilitating pick and drop facility for working parents.

“Aspire preschool appreciated the support provided by management of Institute of Hotel Management,” it reads. (KNS)
