Srinagar, May 5 (KNS): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, who breathed last in a Jammu hospital tested positive for covid-19 posthumously, official sources said.

Sehrai was shifted from Kotbal jail to GMC hospital Jammu yesterday after his condition deteriorated.
The rapid test had declared him negative for covid-19 on rapid tests, however, his swab came positive for the pathogen after his death, officials said.
The 76- year Sehrai was booked under Public Safety Act last year. He was considered as a natural heir to Syed Ali Shah Geelani given his stature and respect he commanded in separatist camp. (KNS)
