Bandipora, June 21 (KNS): As many as 11 Vehicles were challaned for various violations in this North kashmir's Bandipora district, an official said on Monday. 

He said a special naka was laid by Assistant Regional Transport officer Bandipora Dr. Suhayb Ahmad Wani accompanied by Inspectors and other officials from Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) at Nadihal on Bandipora-Srinager road and 40 vehicles were checked during the naka.

The official said that around 11 were also challaned for various violations. 

While sensitizing the drivers regarding traffic rules, the ARTO said that violation of traffic rules leads to road accidents and fatalities. He also warned the drivers to strictly adhere to the traffic rules to avoid any action from the department.

Wani said that checking of vehicles would continue in coming days.(KNS)
