ARTO Bandipora Takes Tough Stance on Traffic Violators: Dozens of Vehicles Blacklisted, Fine Realized

Bandipora, April 04 (KNS): A stringent crackdown on traffic violations led to the blacklisting of dozens of vehicles and the collection of fines totaling thousands of rupees in Bandipora district of north Kashmir on Thursday.

The drive as per KNS, spearheaded by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora, Anees Ahmad, in collaboration with the Tehsildar Bandipora, CEO Municipal Council Bandipora and the Station House Officer Bandipora, resulted in the immediate blacklisting of over a hundred vehicles for various traffic infractions.

Officials said that vehicles found parked improperly, leading to traffic congestion, overloaded vehicles, and those lacking necessary documentation or fitness certificates were promptly blacklisted and fined on the spot.

Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards traffic violations and documentation deficiencies, the ARTO affirmed plans to intensify enforcement efforts district-wide in the coming days. (KNS)
