Srinagar, Oct 05 (KNS): Denouncing the fresh arrest spree ahead of the so called civic polls, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that New Delhi has been using the drama of polls to activate its collaborators in the disputed region.
The JKDFP Spokesperson said in a statement that fresh arrest spree has been launched across the length and breadth of the valley Kashmir and it is aimed at instill terror among the common people.
Pro-freedom leaders, activists and common youth have been arrested and many among them have been booked under the draconian PSA and sent to far off jails. The police stations of the valley are filled with detainees while as long queues of dejected parents can be seen outside police stations to plead the release of their children.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The situation has turned from bad to worst in Kashmir where people are compelled to live under the shadow of gun.
The Spokesperson supported the people of Redwani, Khudwani and adjoining areas of Kulgam district in their demand of removal of an army camp. The area is observing shutdown since many days now and they want the removal of an army camp which has badly affected their lives and even school going children suffer due to the camp. The Spokesperson said that government forces camps have become centres of nuisance and people are rightly concerned. (KNS)
