Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNS): Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir Monday strongly condemned the arrest of its District Ameer Baramulla, Muhammad Shaban Dar and termed it as ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unjustified’.
In a statement issued to KNS, JeI said, police and other SOG forces raided the house of Muhammad Shaban Dar of Mazbugh Sopore after pre-dawn prayers and took him away to an undisclosed location.
Meanwhile, spokesperson of JeI, Advocate Zahid Ali who was in sub-jail Kothibagh, yesterday when he has been produced before first class magistrate, he directed police officials to release him.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Instead of letting him free, police detained him in another concocted and baseless case which was lodged in Batamaloo police station,” JeI statement added.
JeI Jammu and Kashmir termed this ‘atrocious behavior’ of government forces ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unjustified’ and urges all human rights bodies to come forward and take strong notice of human rights violations in Kashmir by New-Delhi. (KNS)
