Srinagar, Jul 07 (KNS): President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Abdul Qayoom Wani Thursday condemned the arrest of prominent trade and civil society leaders and described their continuous house arrest as ‘unjustified illegal and undemocratic’. Wani in a statement issued to KNS, said that JKCC leaders, an umbrella body of trade, business and civil society were raising their voice in favour of fiscal autonomy of the state in a democratic and justified way but they have been put behind the bars by using force to muzzle their voice.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Ejac President said that continuous arrest of JKCC leaders including Muhammad Yasin Khan, Shakeel Kalander and Mubeen Shah are ‘illegal, undemocratic and unjustified’.
EJAC demanded their immediate and unconditional release. (KNS)
