Srinagar, Sep 30 (KNS): Army under the aegis of Chinar Corps organized a free Med cum Veterinary Camp today at Pampore, Srinagar to provide on the spot treatment, free medicines and specialist advice to the residents of Pampore and surrounding areas. A number of civil dignitaries and J&K Government officials also attended the event. The event evoked overwhelming response wherein large number of locals with their livestock turned up for the medical assistance.
A joint medical team of doctor from Army, Public Health Organization and paramedics provided medical consultation to more than 600 people of nearby villages and distributed free medicines. This occasion was also utilised to test blood sugar level for the needy villagers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelA health awareness campaign was also conducted at the venue on hygiene and sanitation, life style diseases and importance of vaccination to create awareness among residents of the area.
A Veterinary Camp was also conducted where in medical services to about 300 livestock were rendered. The camp was a grand success and everyone lauded the joint effort of the Army and Civil Administration for the population of remote rural areas.
Md Amin Bhat, Sarpanch of the Village Khankahbagh also thanked Army for organizing the medical cum veterinary camp, especially at a time when there is a surge in ailments due to onset of winters. (KNS)
