Army organizes Village Games Competitions in Mawer village


Handwara, Oct 19 (KNS): Army’s 30RR under Aegis on Monday organised ‘Village Games Competition at Mankal area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara District.
According to the army officials the aim of this programme was to engage the local youth from the bad activities and we got the overwhelming response from the youth.
The games were held including Running with Wooden Logs - Running with Wooden Logs, Cutting Wooden Logs into Pieces, Cutting Wooden Logs into Blocks, Freestyle Fishing in Mawer River, Musical Chair and rope pulling.
The local youth of the area said that they are getting very less chance to took participate in games as they are living in far flung area and said that the army is regularly conducting the sports activities in the area to provide the platform to local youth.
An army officer of 30RR said that we are committed to provide the platform to the youth of Langate and will conduct such activities in future as well (KNS)
