Kupwara July 10:(KNS)  Army camp Jaba on Sunday organises trekking in Handwara for youth to develop a friendly relationship with the nature. In this one day trekking, around 19 youth participated. In a statement to KNS, reads, Young people can play an active role in protecting and improving the environment. They can develop and contribute towards a better understanding of the value of natural resources. Participation of youth is very essential for environmental conservation because they are very innovative.  

With this being said,  Army Camp, Jaba organised 'TREKKING WITH YOUTH'. A total of 19 adolescents attended the trekking event. The route starts from village Jaba and then follows jungle trails till Kaonar Pond. The young minds were made aware of the importance of trees and forest in maintaining the water cycle. The Trekking event also imbibe on importance of environment conservation and protection. (KNS)
