Army organises debate competition on World Science Day in Mawar

Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS): To celebrate World Science Day, the Indian Army organised an inter-school debate competition for the students of Mawar Valley on Wednesday to create awareness about the importance of Science in the daily life.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that the students of government Middle School, Lawoosa and government Upper Primary School, Chak participated in the debate on the topic “Are Scientific Inventions a Boon or Bane for the Present Generation.”

It reads that eight students participated and spoke on their views ‘for and against’ the topic and the same was judged by a jury of three teachers, where government Upper Primary School was adjudged as winners. 

It reads that the students also spoke about various known personalities of India and their contribution in the field of science. 

“The debate was a learning discussion for the audience which mainly consisted of the young students from these schools,” it reads. (KNS)
