Army organises blood donation camp at GDC Pattan

Pattan August 04 (KNS):In pursuance Indian Army’s resolve to strike a chord with the local populace and to create awareness among general public about the importance of blood donation, 29 Rashtriya Rifles under the ageis of 10 Sect RR and CIF (K) and in collaboration with GMC Baramulla , Pattan degree college and Pattan civil administration department organised a blood donation camp at Pattan Degree college.


Dr Fayaz Ahmed ,Blood bank officer , Dr Nargish Rashid and Dr Nusrat Ali Bhatt , Assistant professor along with paramedical staff of GMC Baramulla after proper donor screening and medical examination collected blood of almost 100 donors.

Volunteer donors from various security forces including Army and Sashastra Seema Bal, Students of SSM College & Locals also took part in this selfless act of blood Donation .

Dr Fayaz Ahmed , Blood bank officer, GMC Baramulla said that such an event proved to many an opportunity to make a selfless contribution for the needy patients.
Beside this awareness about the importance of blood donation and its role in saving precious lives was also highlighted by the team of doctors .

Capt Prateek Tripathi , RMO , 29 Rashtriya Rilfes was also present for supervising the camp.(KNS)
