A 15 day National Integration Tour organised by the Army based at Kupwara which had commenced on Aug 02, 2015 from Drugmulla Garrison returned after visiting prominent places at Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Mumbai, defence spokesman said in a statement.
He said the excitement of a wonderful train journey from Udhampur, visiting important, historical places like the Jama Masjid, Ajmer Sharif, Haji Ali and the joy of having witnessed the majestic cities of National Capital Delhi, Jaipur and Jodhpur were palpable in every young child’s face and spirits. During the tour, children interacted with Senior Army and Civilian officials at different places with whom they shared their experiences.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe children were impressed by the vastness of the deserts and sea, a sight not available in their native state. They also saw the state of art warships of Indian Navy at Mumbai Naval Base before they were finally flagged in at Drugmulla Garrison in presence of the waiting parents and civil dignitaries.
The trip has had a profound effect on the young dynamic minds motivating them to progress and become a contributing member of the mainstream in future.
