Handwara July 12:(KNS)   Lachampura army camp on Monday organizes ‘A Day with Company Commander” for locals to ensure the strong relationship between army and awaam.

According to a statement to KNS, reads, continuing with the effort to connect with AWAM,  Fearless Fighters took the initiative to breakthrough the usual routine of the villagers specially the younger lot of nearby areas by organising, A Day With Company Commander at  Lacchampura Army Camp, on 12 Jul 2021.

The aim of the event was to create the feeling of oneness and a new bonhomie among the Awam and Jawan in the Area by spending some quality time together. The event was attended by 100 children of age group of 08 -15 from Lachhmpura, Dogripura, Sarmarg, Manidora, Chak and Kaonar Villages. The day started with distribution of masks to the children followed by an informal interactive session with the young minds. In the latter part, various games and competitions like Sack Race, Pebble Race, Musical Chair, Score a Goal, Bulls Eye and many more exciting games were organised. The games and competitions witnessed a large participation and the children enjoyed to their fullest. Prizes were given to the winners in order to motivate them and bring some competitive spirit for for engagements. Children came out in strength to meet the Company Commander  and spend time with the jawans.  The event continued for 4 hours. They showcased the love and appreciation for the Army as the echoing laughter, the sparkling excitement in their eyes.(KNS)
