Handwara August 08(KNS): Sports has always played a vital role in building the youth of our nation and bringing people closer. The Indian Army is always committed to play a vital role in encouraging sports among local AWAM.
As part of the initiative, Naugam Military Station organised a cricket tournament at Lawoosa village from 01 Aug to 08 Aug 2023.
The event witnessed participation of a total of Eight teams from Mawar Region. The teams participated in the game with strong zeal and enthusiasm.
The final match of the tournament was played between Sanjipura Chack and Yamaha Mukam. To encourage the effort and passion of the players the unit also felicitated the teams and outstanding players of the tournament with medals and trophies.
Public representatives and locals from the area are also much passionate about the game and were also present to witness the same.
The tournament witnessed an overwhelming response and has turned out to be a crowd puller for the local AWAM.(KNS).
