Srinagar, July 23 (KNS): The Inspector general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that only one soldier was injured in the ongoing gunfight in Shokbaba forest area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Kumar said that only one soldier of Army’s 14 RR Unit was injured and he has been evacuated to 92 base hospital Srinagar for treatment. 

He said that the operation was going on in the area.

Earlier, police said that two unidentified militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in forest area of Shokbaba in Sumlar. (KNS)
